How to extend the lifespan of equipment through post-operation maintenance of bridge cranes

Cleaning and rust prevention

Equipment cleaning: Use compressed air (pressure 0.6 MPa) to blow away dust on the surfaces of tracks, motors, and control cabinets to prevent dust accumulation from causing short circuits (reducing the failure rate by 40%).

Rust prevention of metal components: Apply anti-rust paint (such as epoxy zinc-rich primer + polyurethane topcoat) to steel structural components such as main beams and end beams, and repaint every 2 years.

Moisture protection for electrical components: In humid environments (relative humidity > 75%), utilize a dehumidifier (dehumidifying capacity ≥ 10L/day) to maintain the humidity level in the control cabinet at or below 65%.

lubricating maintenance

Wire rope lubrication: Apply wire rope grease (such as lithium-based grease) to the surface of the wire rope (once every 200 hours) to reduce wear and tear (extending the lifespan by 30%).

Oil change for reducer: Drain the old oil (use L-CKC220 industrial gear oil) every 200 hours, clean the oil tank, and then add new oil (to the mid-level of the scale mark).

Bearing lubrication: Use a grease gun (such as Lincoln 816) to inject lubricating grease into the bearing housing.

Fastening and adjustment

Bolt tightening: Use a torque wrench (such as Norbar T30) to inspect the connecting bolts of the main beam , and retighten them every 500 hours.

Brake adjustment: Adjust the tension of the brake spring (to ensure a clearance of 0.8-1mm between the brake shoe and the brake wheel) to ensure reliable braking (with braking distance meeting the standard).

Resetting of limiter: Check whether the limiter automatically resets after being triggered (reset time ≤ 0.5s) to avoid equipment malfunction.
