What are the key points from operation to maintenance of bridge cranes

What are the key points from operation to maintenance of bridge cranes? For specific operation points, let the editor from the bridge crane manufacturer take you to understand together.

Operating specifications

Certified on duty: Operators of bridge cranes need to undergo specialized training and hold legal operating certificates to understand the structure and working principles of the crane.

Follow the operating procedures:

Before operation, a warning bell should be sounded, and after confirming that there are no errors, the circuit should be closed in sequence for power transmission and testing.

Overloading, diagonal pulling, speeding, collision and other dangerous operations are strictly prohibited.

When lifting heavy objects, a trial lifting should be conducted first to verify whether the brake is sensitive and reliable.

During the lifting process, the heavy object should be kept stable to avoid colliding with surrounding equipment and personnel.

It is prohibited to use limit devices to control the parking mechanism, and it is forbidden to pull down the knife switch to cut off the power supply while the motor is running.

Implement the "Ten No Lifting" principle: including not lifting when the command signal is unclear or in violation of regulations, not lifting when the heavy object is overloaded or the weight is unclear, not lifting when the work is not securely tied or skewed, etc.

Daily inspection

Structural inspection: Check whether there are cracks or deformations in the main beam, end beam, railing, etc., and confirm that the bolts and welds are not loose or cracked.

Key component inspection:

Wire rope: Check for broken strands and wires, with wire breakage not exceeding 10%, and no rust or deformation.

Hook: Check if the anti detachment device is complete and if there are no cracks on the surface.

Brake: Check that the wear of the brake lining does not exceed 50% of the original thickness, and adjust the brake clearance appropriately.

Safety device inspection: Test whether the functions of safety devices such as limiters and emergency stop buttons are normal.

Lubrication and track inspection: Add lubricating oil according to the lubrication table, check the track for oil stains, obstacles, and track gauge deviation of ≤± 5mm.

Electrical system inspection: Check that the grounding resistance is ≤ 4 Ω, the cable is not damaged, and the controller contacts are clean.

Regular maintenance

Daily maintenance: Clean oil stains after work, check the lubrication of steel wire ropes (apply special grease every week).

Regular maintenance:

Weekly inspection: Fastener torque verification, wheel tread wear ≤ 15%.

Monthly inspection: Check the oil level of the gearbox and ensure that the coupling alignment deviation is ≤ 0.2mm.

Annual inspection: Rated load test (110% static load, 125% dynamic load), main beam arch detection (≤ S/1000, S is span).

Lubrication management: Lubricate the wheel bearings of large vehicles every 3 months, lubricate the steel wire ropes every month, and use high-temperature extreme pressure grease (such as NLGI grade 2).

Fault handling

Common fault identification: including unstable operation, brake failure, wire rope breakage, electrical faults, etc.

Fault handling measures:

Unstable operation: Check the track gauge and levelness, replace worn wheels.

Brake failure: Adjust the pressure of the brake spring and replace the worn pad.

Wire rope breakage: Check the diameter of the pulley groove when replacing the new rope.

Electrical malfunction: Test the insulation resistance of the motor and check the contactor contacts.
