What safety devices does a bridge crane have
As for the price of bridge cranes in China, today I will introduce to you what safety devices are equipped on bridge cranes:
To ensure the normal operation of overhead cranes with lifting hooks, prevent potential accidents during lifting operations, and safeguard the lives of operating personnel, these cranes, as lifting equipment that spans over workshops, warehouses, and material yards for material lifting, are equipped with various safety protection devices. Common protective devices include load limiters, position limiters, buffers, anti-collision devices, anti-deflection and deflection indicator devices, anti-overturning devices, wind damage protection devices, and other safety protection devices.
1. Load limiter for lifting hook
Overloading operations are a significant factor contributing to frequent accidents involving bridge cranes. The use of overload protection devices can prevent such accidents from occurring.
2. Limiter
There are two types of limiters: one is the upward limit position limiter and downward limit position limiter that protect the safe operation of the lifting mechanism, and the other is the running limit position limiter that restricts the operation of the running mechanism.
3. Buffer
Absorb the operational function of the lifting trolley to mitigate shock.
4. Anti-collision device
The operating speed of modern bridge cranes continues to increase, often with several machines operating simultaneously on the same track. To prevent collisions between bridge cranes, anti-collision devices are installed on them.
5. Anti-deflection device
Due to deviations in wheel manufacturing and installation, as well as deviations in the transmission mechanism, the bridge crane often operates with a skew. In severe cases, it may even exhibit "rail gnawing" and may affect the metal structure and operating mechanism.
6. Other safety protection devices
1) Electrical equipment on the bridge should be equipped with rain covers
2) The single-main-beam bridge crane is equipped with an anti-overturning safety hook to ensure that the trolley does not overturn and to guarantee the safety of maintenance work.
