How to carry out routine maintenance for gantry cranes

Cleaning and inspection

Clean the dust and oil stains on the driver's cab and the external surface of the machine daily, and conduct a weekly cleaning.

Check whether the brake clearance is appropriate, whether the coupling key and bolts are fastened, and whether the fixing bolts of the reduction gearbox are loose or broken.

Check the reliability of the electric bell and safety devices, assess the wear of brake pads and steel wire ropes, verify the tightness and fit of the controller contacts, and inspect the wear of the motor carbon brushes.

Lubrication and fastening

Fill lubricating oil to lubrication points such as rolling bearings, gear couplings, reducers, motor bearings, and brake hinges.

Inspect and tighten all wiring bases and wiring screws to ensure reliable electrical connections.

Pre-operation check

The hook head and pulley are free of defects, and the steel wire rope is intact and firmly fixed, without any disengagement from the groove.

The brakes of the crane, trolley, and lifting mechanism are safe and reliable, all transmission mechanisms are functioning properly, the safety switches are sensitive, and the lifting limit and the limits of the crane and trolley are normal.

When operating the vehicle, ensure there are no abnormal noises. Turn the controller handle to the zero position, close the doors and windows, and sound the horn to warn others before driving.
