Precautions for using a single-beam crane

Precautions for using a single-beam crane

As for the price of bridge cranes in China, today I will introduce some precautions for single-beam cranes;

1. During the operation of the crane, B must clearly indicate the rated load capacity in a conspicuous location. It is strictly prohibited for personnel to climb onto the bridge structure or use the hook to transport personnel. Operators must be fully focused on the current operation and must not engage in activities unrelated to work.

2. Hoisting operations are prohibited in situations where the cargo is not securely fixed, is being pulled at an angle, or where signal communication is unclear. When traveling along unobstructed pathways, the minimum distance between the hook and the cargo must be at least two meters from the ground; when crossing obstacles, the clearance height must exceed half a meter above the obstacle.

3. When the load weight is less than half of the rated lifting capacity of the single-beam bridge crane, it is allowed for both mechanisms to work simultaneously. For loads exceeding half of the rated lifting capacity of the equipment, only one mechanism can be activated to work. For single-beam cranes equipped with a main hook and an auxiliary hook, the auxiliary hook must not be operated simultaneously with the main hook for lifting and lowering operations.

4. Before operating a single-beam crane, all lifting tools should be inspected to ensure they are in good working condition. If any defects are found in any tools, do not proceed with the lifting operation.

5. Similarly, when using a jib crane, the ropes should also be inspected. Ensure that the ropes are securely fastened and free from looseness or breakage. When securing objects with sharp edges using ropes, protective pads should be placed between the object and the rope to prevent damage to the rope.

6. For boom cranes, ensure that the load is centered to avoid diagonal tension. Special lifting operations may require operators to make lateral movements.

7. Please do not act hastily when moving goods. Continue operations only after the load is stable. It is strictly prohibited to place debris on suspended loads or allow people to stand on them. During the handling process, all unauthorized personnel should keep away from the area beneath suspended objects.

8. Implement safety procedures for Q-surface operations. Operator B must wear a safety helmet. Operations must be conducted under the unified command of qualified personnel, with close coordination among various departments. Before lifting off the ground, carefully inspect the safety status of all components such as steel wire ropes. If any unsafe factors are discovered, the operation should be stopped immediately.

9. When using a jib crane, the suspended load should not remain in the air for an extended period of time.
